Hi there, I’m Lucy!

I’m about 6 months old, and just a few weeks ago, I was wandering around a desert job site all by myself. A kind worker scooped me up and gave me a safe place to rest. That’s when everything started to change.

I am now in my loving foster home and wow, it’s been amazing! I haven't spent much time inside before, so I was a little shy at first, but I’ve really started to come out of my shell. In just a week, I’ve learned that cozy beds, good food, and people who love you are the best things ever.

I love toys. I found the toy bin on day one and have been happily sticking to the dog-approved stuff ever since (well… there was one human sock, but who can resist those?). I’ve become besties with Birdie, my foster sister who’s a 5-year-old shepherd mix. We play constantly, share toys, and even drink from the same water bowl.

I’m learning all sorts of big girl skills like responding to my name, sitting, and even started to understand this whole potty training thing. I go out every 90 minutes to keep the house clean. I sleep like a champ in my crate from 9:30 PM to 5:00 AM with only a little whimper when I first go in. I’m working on being okay when left alone in my crate during the day.

More than anything, I’m just discovering what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful pup who’s full of potential and ready to give you her whole heart, I might be your girl.
