**I’m not quite ready to go home just yet (I’m still working on house training and leash confidence), but in a few weeks, I’ll be ready to find my person.

Hi, I’m Ghiradelli!

Sweet like chocolate. Rich, a little delicate, and just waiting to melt your heart.

I’m an 8-year-old, 13-pound Chihuahua with a very soft soul. The world still feels like a big, scary place to me, but I am gently learning to trust.

My foster has been so patient with me, celebrating the little things… like when I go potty outside (I’m very proud of those moments, even if I act shy about it). Every day, I’m taking tiny steps forward, and with kindness, I keep getting braver.

I’m not the kind of dog who wants long walks or big adventures. I’m more of a lap companion, a quiet little presence who just wants to feel safe and loved. A cozy home, a soft voice, and someone patient enough to let me come out of my shell at my own pace—that’s what I dream about. I may not walk on a leash yet, but I hear I make a lovely passenger on gentle “buggy rides.”

I’ll need a calm, understanding home—one that sees me not for who I am right now, but for the sweet, loving dog I’m becoming. Like the finest chocolate, I just need a little time and warmth to soften. And when I do… I promise I’ll be something truly special.
