172 days. It’s a long time for just about anything, but an unheard of number for a dog to live in a high-kill shelter. 172 days is what our new boy Wahkan served in the shelter for the crime of not having a home. Not surprisingly, he was a huge staff and volunteer favorite which is why he stayed alive. He is young, full of energy, good with other dogs and just a happy, positive boy! We don’t know how he was overlooked for so long because he’s such a great size, 45 lbs., and so handsome! We think he would do best in an active home because this boy loves to run and play.
