Stanley was out of time at the shelter despite being a volunteer favorite. He is a senior who is also very shy. Fortunately, Much Love knew that he would reward the right person. We suspect Stanley has had a hard life, but he is still able to absorb kindness, love, good food, and a comfy bed on which to nap. His bond is not the flashy bond of a young dog. Instead, he offers abiding and deep affection for the smallest of gestures.  It took him less than two days to appease the cranky cat in his foster home and he has cracked his shell a little bit while benefiting from a quiet house, a routine, and lots of naps! He has even had the occasional frolic in the lawn. Stanley asks that you pause from life’s “busy” speed so as to appreciate all he has to offer. He would be a great addition to any pack or as a solo dog. Stanley is good with dogs and cats. He has age-related early kidney disease that requires a special diet so it doesn’t get any worse.
