Rex

Calling all Dachshund lovers! This is our little Doxie boy, with the big boy name, Rex! Rex was left at the shelter for crying at night . . . maybe he was crying because he was left outside 24/7, and entirely covered in ticks! Well not anymore! We got him out of the shelter and straight to a vet. Surprisingly, other than needing hundreds of ticks removed, he is perfectly healthy.

Rex is about 7 years old. He is shy at first, and needs to warm up, but once he does he crawls right into your heart. Rex loves to snuggle and be held by his foster mom. Favorite hobbies include going for walks and getting attention. Given Rex is easily frightened of new people and situations, we would not put him in a home with young children. Other than that Rex will make the most amazing companion. He is just wants a warm bed, and to be loved. Don’t we all?!
