A shelter volunteer at the San Gabriel Humane Society, sent us an email about Loki who had been stuck in the shelter for eight months with ZERO Interest.  She explained they were in dire need of a rescue for Loki, a black pit with badly cropped ears and sadly, the shelter’s longest resident. Not one person had inquired about him.

We did a courtesy post on IG, and then, Loki’s luck changed. After seeing our post and moved by his story, one of our new volunteers drove an hour to San Gabriel to meet him and quickly agreed to foster. Having a foster home in place was key to us rescuing him. We alerted the shelter that we were figuring out a plan to pull him.  They were in tears saying goodbye.

Loki is 3-5 years old. He’s needs a calm home where he is the only pup with a strong leader (no kids for now) as he can be a bit scared in new situations where he is insecure.

UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS FOSTER: This beautiful boy loves his foster home where he has a brand new bed, and a favorite dinosaur toy! He’s soaking up all the affection his foster parents are giving him!

Loki loves his foster mom!
