Jack and his brother Sam were brought to the West LA Shelter on Jan. 30, 2016, and the staff believed they were approximately 5 weeks old. They went straight to a foster home, where they continue to learn to eat solid food, use good manners (like giving kisses instead of play-biting fingers and toes and staying quiet when locked up) and their newspapers & pee pads.

Sam and Jack are very affectionate, playful and big cuddlers. Sam is perhaps a bit more of a ‘Mama’s boy’ as he’s the one who likes to sit at his foster mom’s feet while she washes dishes or crawl into her lap for a nap. Jack is slightly more independent, but still LOVES affection and cuddling as well. The two have both been exposed to small children and the resident cat and respectfully leave her alone when she gives them a warning hiss. And they’ve also held their own playing with an adult terrier mix who stayed with them for about a week. Since they love to play and sleep together and keep each other company when no one is home (not to mention doing a great job of using up each other’s puppy energy) — it would be great to see them adopted together, but not mandatory.
