Sweet Emily came into the shelter suffering from head trauma that pushed one of her eyes out of the socket leaving it barely attached. When we came to the shelter and saw her in that condition, we rushed her immediately to the vet where they did surgery to remove the eye, and treat her scratches and bruises. From the time we took Emily out of her cage, until the moment she was put under for surgery, she was wagging her tail and giving kisses. We knew this was a very special girl. Now a few weeks after surgery and all healed, her sunny disposition continues to charm those that meet her. She is a loving, affectionate, good natured lady who loves nothing more than a belly rub, or to sit in your lap. She is housebroken, knows how to sit, loves going on walks, and is very gentle when taking treats. Emily likes other dogs and cats, but is most interested in her human companions. She likes to follow her foster parents around their home, and plop herself down near wherever they end up. She is a loyal, well mannered lady, who is now looking for her forever family to share all that love and affection with moving forward.
