Cato

Meet Cato! He’s a Tri-colored, Cavalier Spaniel mix. He’s an adult and is very sweet and playful. He wants to be with his human for warm snuggles!

UPDATE FROM HIS FOSTER: Cato will live to be your second set of eyes. This loving boy has got your back! He sticks to his people like glue, but can still be left at home without fuss. He is incredibly sweet and mild mannered with other dogs in the home and on walks. I haven’t had the opportunity to introduce him to small children, but after having seen him meet kids on walks and interact with all different people I’m sure that he would be a gentleman like he always is. He is very quiet, I’ve only heard him bark a couple times after having him a week. When he first moved in he did mark a couple of times due to the high doggie traffic in my home, but I immediately crated him each time and he soon dropped the habit. He is completely housebroken otherwise and quick to learn the rules. Cato can keep up with the best of them on walks, hikes, and playtime. Those short legs do not hold him back, but at the end of the day all he wants is a long snuggle in bed. The best thing about Cato (other than his permanent smile) is his gift of letting you sleep in if you want! Being the king of snuggles he has always waited for me to hop out of bed before following me out for a walk. Cato would do wonderfully in a home with another dog and just as well as the only pet. He is a breeze, so if you’re looking for a smooth transition in adopting your new pal, choose this handsome sweetheart.
