It is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of our friend and fellow volunteer, Jody Brightman. She passed away peacefully with her husband of 30 years, Bill Stump, by her side on June 21. Many of us here at Much Love Animal Rescue remember her fondly as one of our most dedicated volunteers since she started in 2010. She enjoyed spending Sundays with us in Santa Monica, as recently as a month ago, while she battled her illness. Our hearts go out to Bill and her Pepperdine University family where she had been the director of career services at the School of Public Policy. She will be missed.
In liu of flowers, Bill has asked that we honor her by contributing memorial gifts to Pepperdine for a special Jody Brightman Summer Fellowship fund.
