On New Year’s day, we received an email from a young girl who had noticed one of the homeless cats in her neighborhood had been limping for the past 3 weeks. Prior to that, she had watched him run and climb trees and she now noticed that he was just laying around and didn’t really want to walk. The cat was still friendly and seeking attention but was clearly becoming more and more uncomfortable. The girl was able to bring the cat inside temporarily. Much Love agreed to meet the cat and get him medical attention. Much Love immediately brought the cat ( now named Adams after the street he lived on) to one of our vets who determined he had a severe bone infection most likely from and animal bite. the infection was so bad that the leg needed to be amputated. Now it is a few weeks later and Adams is recovering nicely at the home of one of our volunteers, but she has other animals and Adams needs to go to a quiet home where he can recover fully and get used to the indoor life. He is a handsome boy, only a year or two old, neutered, healthy, and learning to get around quite well on his 3 legs. He is shy at first but once he warms up he likes to be pet and you can start to hear him purr. He will recover fully and soon won’t miss his leg at all. All he needs is some love, encouragement, and a home.
