Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a Much Love Volunteer. We are a 100% volunteer run organization and are always looking for new volunteers to help make a difference!

To volunteer with us, you’ll just need to:
1) Be 18 years of age or older
2) Attend a scheduled volunteer orientation

volunteer orientations

All new volunteers must attend a new volunteer orientation before they can begin volunteering. Volunteer orientations are held at our 2 adoption sites, twice each month. Only street parking available.

Please sign-up below to attend an upcoming volunteer orientation. Once you’ve attended an orientation, you will receive a “Welcome Email” with directions how to sign-up to volunteer each week.

volunteer duties

However much time you would like to spend, no amount of time you can contribute is too little.  We primarily need volunteers to…

1. Volunteer at the Weekend Adoption events to set up/breakdown & show the animals to the public.
2. Transport animals to or from weekend adoption events

Other tasks include…

Mid-Week Tasks:
* Transport animals mid-week from fosters to vet offices
* Assist in mid-week clerical/internet work from home
* Visit vet offices our dogs are at mid-week to walk them
* Research grants that are available for the rescue

Promotion:
* Help promote the adoptions by posting pictures & bulletins on social media sites
* Help with the planning of various fund raising events & come up with event ideas of your own
* Contact friends to see if they would donate services to our next auction

Donations:
* Donate one month for a spay/neuter
* Donate towels and blankets to the rescue
* Go to Centinela feed with my monthly free gift coupon and donate those items to Much Love
* Go online to www.premier.com to purchase collars for the 25 dogs we currently have. (buying in bulk is cheaper)

Volunteering isn’t only about spending time with the animals (though it is the best part!). If you have an expertise that you would be willing to offer, such as accounting practices, fundraising skills, promotion experience or even sewing skills for our doggie beds, we would love to hear from you.
