Saving lives is as easy as a walk in the park. At least, it will be on September 6th at Will Rogers State Park, when rescue groups from all over Los Angeles gather for Strut Your Mutt 2014. The Strut will be a twilight stroll, followed by a festival featuring contests, prizes and booths featuring everything from canine Halloween costumes to doggie massage. This year’s festival will also include live music and an outdoor screening of “Dirty Dancing.”
This yearly fundraiser is organized by Best Friends Animal Society. Participants raise money for their organizations by collecting pledges from friends and family. Best Friends doesn’t take a percentage. All of the money goes to the individual rescue groups. Last year, Much Love raised over $55,000 for our homeless pets. This year, with your help, we can do even better.
You can let your legs or fingers do the walking, it’s your choice: you can strut with us in September, or support the team with a donation: Join Team Much Love, or head to our “Donate” page to make a donation to the team.
Here’s how your dollars go to work for the animals we rescue: Just $25 pays for a microchip for a dog or cat. $50 covers the cost of a veterinary exam. Our adorable adoptables really appreciate your help!
So are your ready? Get set to save animals’ lives, and GO join our Much Love Strut Team or support the team through your donation. Thank you for your help, and our pooches and kitties send you a big appreciative, woof, woof, meeeoooow!
