RECENT UPDATE FROM HER FOSTER: Gladys Knight a dog who loves to sit on your lap, but she is an energizer bunny on walks! She is such a sweet dog, she’ll melt your heart in a nanosecond! At home, she’s beyond easygoing, preferring to curl up in your lap and give you kisses! Gladys is a girl who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to tell you! She rolls onto her back when she wants her tummy rubbed, goes to the door when she wants to go out, and licks your ankle when she wants you to pay attention to her. If there are dogs barking within earshot, Gladys’ll want to join in the chorus!

Gladys is a ‘forever pup’ – both in looks and attitude. She loves going for walks and is super curious about everything. She’s also not above chasing her tail or running up and down the stairs to the apartment! Outdoors, she loves meeting new people, but gets nervous around new dogs.

This Golden Girl takes to new tricks with grace! Gladys is learning to sit, before being fed and leashed. She’s also learning to use a sturdy box as doggie steps to join us on the couch, but don’t be surprised when she shows off her acrobatic skills by scrambling up your legs (which we let her do sometimes because it is so darn cute!).

GK will have you, your neighbors, and even strangers on the street breaking into a smile when you see her. She’s such a great companion – we’re sure you will fall in love with her too!

This little pip will be the best thing that ever happened to the person who adopts her. She loves people and will be your soul mate!

We just lost our 14 year old adopted chihuahua, Paco, yesterday. We are an older couple and, even though we have two other dogs that we love dearly (a golden and a lab), we are heartbroken. We were going to wait to adopt, but Gladys looks so much like our Paco that it may help us to heal if we have this lovely little lady in our family.

We will be away for a week, but will return on December 9. I will fill out your application in the interim.

      Thank you.
