The next Much Love Volunteer orientation will be Saturday, January 9th at 12:30 at our Venice location. With the Jan 1st holiday, we’ve decided to move the original 1/2/10 orientation to the 1/9/10 date.
Much Love needs a temporary foster home for Mimosa from Dec. 18-29th. She is amazingly affectionate and playful with people but does not get along with other animals, so she needs to be in a home without other pets.
If you browse our “available dogs” section, you’ll see we still have so many to find homes for. The problem we’re faced with is that we don’t have enough temporary foster homes for all of them. We currently have a large number of dogs that we have to keep at doggy daycare/kennels…and it’s expensive. We’re spending over $100 a day to keep them in the kennels and that drain on our funds means we can’t afford to rescue as many animals as we would like.
So if you’ve thought about fostering before or know people who might be interested, now is the time to lend a hand…especially with the holiday season upon us.
To foster, you simply need to fill out an application and write in “Foster”. We will then schedule a homecheck at your convenience.
If you’re not fully aware of the foster program, it’s quite simple: you provide a home for a dog, Much Love will provide the food, bed/crate and vet care. If you have any questions about fostering, you can contact us at foster@muchlove.org and we’ll help with any questions you have.
These dogs could really use your help right now…as will the future dogs we’ll be able to rescue by saving on kennel costs. So if you have some room in your heart and your home, let us know.
Feel free to share this with your friends and family as well.
Pilgram is one of the nicest dogs you will ever meet! He loves everyone and is quick to give lots and lots of kisses. He is good on leash and just wants to be your best friend.
Hi I’m Buddy! I am a loving, affectionate, loyal guy who LOVES people! I am fine with other dogs and kids are no problem. I love walks and then coming home and laying at your feet. The perfect home for me we think would be with a family and other dogs and where I won’t be left alone very much. I’m not that thrilled with being left alone! I am a great guy who is ready to give lots of love to a family who will adopt me!
As Bindi’s new foster, it is hard to imagine why she is still at Much Love when she would love to be with you. Bindi is very affectionate, loves all people, and bonds very quickly. She is confident, energetic and curious; loves to go on walks (she outpaces my bigger dogs) or romp in the backyard. Bindi plays fetch with a ball and loves to entertain herself playing with other small toys. She will cuddle in your lap for a nap after playtime and sleeps very well at night on a doggie bed without a peep. Bindi is also crate trained and very comfortable with sleeping in a crate if needed. She loves food and snacks which makes her very easy to train; she learned to use a doggie door in record time. Bindi is assertive with other dogs and is not afraid to express herself with them. She has LOTS of personality, style and spunk. She would be a great and fun addition to any home and would be a very loyal companion. Please come to a Sunday mobile adoption and see what a terrific buddy she can be.
This little guy is 100% love-bug. He enjoys long car rides in your arms, sniffing tail, and playing with all size K-9 friends. He has an exuberant personality and just wants to be where the action is. Nothing seems to faze Cedric, so he would be the ideal pet for any home. If you want a compact size with a BIG personality- this guy is for you.
This wonderful dog came to us from our Bow Wow Ween event. We just couldn’t resist this adorable face and out-going personality. With this happy disposition, and mop-like charm, how could you resist? Come down to our weekend adoptions and check this pup out.
