The word sweet just does not even get close to how nice this guy is! Shadow was adopted in 2006 from an LA shelter. He lived with his owner in East LA until early 2009 when they were evicted from their apartment and moved in and ago body shop where the owner was also working. sometime in late 2009 or 2010, the owner died and no one ever came for Shadow. :( A very wonderful woman found him wandering the street - a little skinny, very dirty, and covered in fleas and a skin condition from the all the flea bites. She took him to the vet and got him everything he needed. While he was there, the vet discovered that he had a broken pelvis that healed on its own most likely from being hit by a car while he was out on the street. He has a few medical issues we are working on, but we are determined to help this sweet guy and get him everything he needs! The thing he needs the most is a loving, understanding home - since he has been on the street for awhile there might be adjustment time. It would be great if the home had a nice yard for him to lay in the sun in. He loves that! His ideal home would have other dog pals too - he isn't thrilled with being left alone, but is totally fine when other dogs are there. He is VERY friendly towards all people and gentle with children.
