A note from Oy (Freckles) foster: I foster puppies for Much Love Rescue Group. Since July 3rd, I have been caring for Oy (we prefer to call her Freckles). I am at a loss as to why this terrific pup has not found a forever home and hope you will consider her. Freckles is a pit mix, and she seems to be mixed with some kind of hunting dog (Shorthair pointer? Dalmation?). Whatever her lineage, she is very fond of chasing butterflies. She is 5-1/2 months old and has a wonderful energy. One of the reasons she may not have found a home is that she is an Epic Napper! She sleeps through the adoptions events each weekend. If you know anything about dogs, you know this is really a positive thing – this young dog is able to tune out yapping dogs, traffic, and people. She is the calmest puppy I have fostered in 2 years. But don’t think she isn’t fun loving or bouncy; she loves to play with you and her stuffed toys, romp with other dogs, go for walks, and rides in the car. Oy was rescued from the shelter (with her cage-mate, Vey) in June where she was not being shown because she was sick with pneumonia. When she recovered, she came to me. She was easy to house train, has learned to sit and wait her turn for meals and treats, and is learning to walk politely on leash. She is at the perfect age to train and be your happy companion for many, many years. Please come to a Much Love adoption this weekend and ask someone to wake Oy up for a visit. She really is the best.
