5 Special Dogs

June 17th, 2009

At Much Love, we know that all of our animals are special. But there are 5 dogs that we have been fortunate enough to spend time with that should be in happy homes. These dogs aren’t able to come to every adoption event, so they don’t get the “face time” that many of our other animals do.

So meet our 5 Special Dogs…and share with your friends:

Cheeto

Cheeto

Cheeto 4/14/2008
Jack Russell Terrier/Welsh Corgi Mix White & Tan female
5 years old Medium/35 lbs.

Who can resist this face? Cheeto is an adorable Jack Russell/Corgi mix. She has a few pounds to lose, but most of us can relate to that! She is loyal and mellow. She really wants a very mellow, calm home to live in. She doe not like chaos – but likes a routine and warm bed to rest her head. She would be great as your one and only or with a calmer second dog. She has no problem with cats!

Kimmel

Kimmel

Kimmel 2009-02-23
Greyhound/Pointer Mix Black & White female
5 years old Medium/35 lbs.

We rescued Kimmel in February from the Carson Shelter. She was in a dark run with a few little dogs and maybe because she has a gray face, she kept getting looked over by everyone passing her. We couldn’t resist her enthusiasm and desire to come out of cage and say hi! Kimmel is a really sweet gal who loves people and will enthusiastically great everyone who comes over to pet her. She is wonderful in the home – calm and loving. We think the Greyhound in her makes her want to chase little dogs and squirrels, but she just wants to play. She actually really likes cats though! Kimmel is a total sweetheart who really needs a loving home with a warm bed, lots of walks, and lots of attention!

Maury

Maury 2/15/09
Hound/Shep/Boxer Red male
3 years old Large/60 lbs.

Hey I’m Maury! To be honest- we have no idea what mix I am! We just know I am extremely handsome. I am a big goofball and just want to play. I get excited to see everyone and wag my whole booty when you approach me. I am smart and learned how to to sit and catch treats in all of 5 minutes! Sadly, I was left alone and TIED UP in a back yard my for my whole life until Much Love came along. For that reason, I really need an alpha owner who can show me the ropes and give me the right combination of exercise, discipline, and affection. Anyone who adopts me gets a free training session with a Much Love trainer too so we can start off on the right foot together. So great! If you want a running buddy, hiking partner, bicycle tag a long- I would love to go home with you!

Brinkley

Brinkley

Brinkley needs foster! 5/4/09
Border Collie/Shep Mix Black & White male
6 years old X-Large/70 lbs.

Brinkley is a 6 year old Border Collie/Shepard Mix. He has a beautiful soft coat (he looks like he is ready for a night on the town in his “tuxedo”) and weighs approximately 70 lbs. He is good with most other large dogs, but has not lived with cats or other small animals or dogs. He walks well on a leash and loves to go for long walks with you. He also likes to swim and would love access to a pool. He loves his treats and will sleep on the bed if you let him.

Gogo 3/8/09
Lab/Pit Mix Black male
4 years old Large/60 lbs.

Hi, I’m Gogo! I am about 3 years old, about 60 pounds, black and brown, part lab, part pit, part gorilla, and all love! I was found dumped in someone’s yard and brought to the West LA Shelter where I was shivering in the cold rain when the nice people at Much Love came and sprung me. Do I look like I can chill? Oh yeah- that is me! I love hanging out with my people and going for a nice stroll once in awhile. And- I’m even housetrained! I sometimes have a problem with strange guys, but when you adopt me a trainer will bring me over and help us out with that. Please come down and meet me at an adoption. You won’t find a cooler dog!
